Each session deals with a different aspect of loss and includes a video filled with testimonials of people who have lost family members, including those experiencing a miscarriage or stillbirth.
They offer suggestions and advice for others dealing with grief and along with many other important topics, they urge others not to be afraid to show emotion, and suggest it may be helpful to prolong major life decisions immediately following a tragedy if possible,
Volunteer facilitator, Michele Smollett of McKenzie River GriefShare and McKenzie Bridge Christian Church, led the first session on March 19th. The sessions are free to residents and are self contained, so community members are invited to start the series at any time. There is a one time $15 fee to cover the cost of the accompanying workbook.
If you have lost a loved one and would like to attend you can contact Michele at 541-603-0072 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
