McKenzie River

Last week our girls volleyball put up a great fight against top league
opponent Lowell but fell in four sets. They rebounded nicely to take
down Mohawk and Condon/Wheeler later in the week. This week they look to
continue their hold on second place in league while they play host to
Siletz Valley before traveling to Alsea. The football team put up
another great effort but fell short against Yoncalla on homecoming

Tuesday, September 30, 11:55: Erik Larsen, a 28-year-old man from North Bend, Oregon, was located in the Three Sisters Wilderness east of Obsidian Falls after taking a short hike off trail without his pack and becoming disoriented. He called 911 around noon on 9/30/14 requesting assistance as he was becoming cold and wet. 3 Deschutes County mounted posse and 7 ground search and rescue volunteers assisted Lane Counties 6 mountain rescue volunteers with locating Larsen. His location was established by using his cell phone.

Last week our HS volleyball team took down Mapleton and Eddyville in
League play. On Saturday we hosted the 3rd Annual RPI Invitational that
produced some great matchups from statewide teams. Our girls took down
Reedsport and claimed 5th place. This week the volleyball girls will
host the top team in the league, Lowell before traveling to Mohawk and
Dufur later in the week.
Our football team will host Yoncalla on Friday night for homecoming.
