"This is something the state and the Oregon and the Oregon Debris Management Team is really committed to," said ODOT's Onsite Incident Commander Kevin Finch before any earth was moved. "Hopefully we'll find a capsule from 1949." Whether or not there was anything to dig up wasn't...

  • Social cancelled

    Aug 5, 2021

With much discussion and careful consideration it has been decided that the safest and most responsible action to take at this time is to cancel the August 14th Popsicle Social Event due to the increase in COVID numbers in Lane County and Oregon and the risk associated with the Delta variant of the virus. Our community has been through so much this past year and the possibility of creating a super spreader event is a risk for the safety and health of our community members we are just not willing to take. We hope you understand and support our...

  • Oregon's own Snidely Whiplash

    Finn J.D. John|Aug 5, 2021

When you're watching a melo-drama, you know right away who the villain is. That's him over there, twirling a sinister handlebar moustache beneath a sleek silk hat and telling the pretty widow and her nine orphan children to kiss their beloved homestead goodbye. But that's melodrama, right? And the next scene is always one in which the hero foils the villain's evil plan. But this scene wasn't melo-drama. It was real life. The widow was Mrs. Mary Jane Balch, wife of the first man hanged in the...

I would never have thought he would take money and just stop making payments, after making just two. This situation has totally wrecked our relationship. Now we don't speak or...
