Bridge closure cancelled

Lane County Public Works is asking the public to ignore the notice sent yesterday about closures of the Goodpasture Covered Bridge on December 26th & January 2nd.

"Due to complications encountered yesterday during post-tensioning the bridge, the planned road closures will need to be delayed.  This is a disappointing development that will delay the project beyond an already expected delay," according to  Senior Engineering Associate, Brad Lemhouse. "The engineering and material fabrication is anticipated to take a couple of weeks.  These two closures will be rescheduled, as before, you will be provided a two week advance notice of any road closure."
