Fair set for Sept. 6

Parade entryWALTERVILLE: “A Bumper Crop of Fun” can be found at the Walterville Community Fair on Saturday, September 6th, between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.  It will all start with entries getting registered for the “Walterville Waddle” 5K run/walk which officially begins at 8 a.m.  The GWA will serve breakfast from 7:30 to 9 a.m. to get you ready for the day.  Be sure to get your entries for baking, canning, flowers, vegetables, sewing, and arts and crafts all entered and ready for judging by 9 a.m.  Flag raising will be at 10, with the parade starting at 11 (there may be some traffic delays during the parade so get there early).  Kids games will start after the parade.  

A complete barbecue chicken dinner will be served from 11:30 to 3:30 for $9, with the doggie parade starting at 12:30.  During the entire fair there will be raffle tickets on sale.  Silent auctions will be going on throughout the day, also.  One silent auction that will end just before the raffle drawing will be for a half-day 6-person rafting trip down the beautiful McKenzie River donated by Tony’s Rafting Service.  Raffle prizes will be given away starting at 3 p.m.  There will be lots of vendors selling their wares throughout the day.  This all happens at 39259 Camp Creek Road in Walterville.  For more information about the fair, contact Jeff at 541-746-9974.  If you wish to donate a gift for the raffle, contact Vinita at 541-896-9379 or email her at [email protected].
