Make the McKenzie Connection!

Construction means no bridge lights

RAINBOW: The Christmas lights and wreath will not be placed on the Belknap Bridge this year due to additional electrical/construction requirements.

With Belknap Bridge remodel construction scheduled for the summer of 2015, future opportunities for lighting the bridge may be possible.

However, the annual Upper McKenzie Christmas Potluck is still scheduled for Saturday, December 6th, at the Upper McKenzie Community Center on McKenzie River Drive at 5 p.m. There is no charge for the dinner, it is appreciated if people could bring a potluck dish to share: Hot side dishes  or salads,   your own beverage  (coffee and hot apple cider provided) and your own service. Meat dishes, rolls & butter, dessert, coffee and hot apple cider will be provided.

The annual Walterville Christmas Bazaar will also be held that day, at the Walterville Grange (George Millican Community Hall) on Camp Creek Road, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Bazaar will feature art and craft items, great raffle prizes, as well as hot dogs, soup, chili, and tempting desserts. Plus there will be visits with Santa from 11 to 1.
