Oregon State Police Report - May 6

April 27: 19:05: Police Officer Hold – Hwy. 126E, Milepost 42. Responded to a hazardous vehicle blocking the highway. The driver of the vehicle was appearing to have mental issues and was running in and out of traffic. I contacted the described male and ultimately detained him, and transported him to University District Hospital on a voluntary Police Officer Hold. The vehicle was recovered by the subject’s father from the scene. Involved: white Subaru Legacy, 30-year-old male from McKenzie Bridge.

April 30: 10:58: Warrant Arrest – Hwy. 126E, Mp. 34. Stopped a vehicle for traffic violations. The driver was found to be Driving While Suspended or Revoked, Misdemeanor and had active warrants for his arrest. The driver was taken into custody without incident and lodged in the Lane County Jail. His vehicle was left for friends. Involved: silver/aluminum Saturn Aura, 52-year-old male.

13:34: Illegal Dumping- Hwy. 1126E, MP. 23. Responded to a littering complaint on a private timber road. Upon finding the dumpsite, located several items of mail and misc. Documents. Through the names determined the owner’s work had been victim of a burglary in Corvallis. Collected evidence and provided it to Corvallis PD.

May 1: 04:57: Crash, Non-Injury – Hwy. 126E, Mp. 34. Advised of a vehicle hitting a rock or concrete. The vehicle was blocking the westbound lane. On arrival, fire crews were pushing the vehicle back to a pull out off the hwy. ODO\T arrived on the scene and collectively we were able to clear the blockage. The operator hit a rock the rolled off the hill, thinking the vehicle cleared it. The rock put a hole in the oil pan. There wasn’t any other damage to the vehicle. Operator had called for a tow, waited on scene for arrival. Involved: tan Chevy Impala, 21-year-old driver from Clatskaine.
