Road rage ends in wreck

Two men arrested after confrontation along Highway 126

RAINBOW: Road rage, combined with a rock fight and a tire stabbing, ended with a pickup rolling over into a ditch near milepost 39 of the McKenzie Highway last Friday. Emergency responders were alerted to the incident by a 911 call around 1 p.m. requesting a medical response to a male bleeding from his head.

According to Oregon State Police reports, one individual had struck another during a fight. “During the altercation, a tire was also slashed with a knife,” according to OSP Captain Kyle Kennedy. “The road rage continued until one of the vehicles caused the other to crash and roll over into the ditch. Both parties sustained minor injuries during this incident,” he reports.

Both men, Berret Brown, 39, and Marshall Kinkead, 19, of Blue River, were arrested and issued criminal citations in lieu of custody for multiple crimes. A red Ford 150 and a silver Nissan Pathfinder were involved in the incident.
