2:17 p.m: Suspicious Vehicle – 50900 blk, McK. Hwy. A deputy contacted people with a vehicle at a dispersed camp.

3:37 p.m: Illegal Camping – N. Gate Creek Rd. Illegal camping on forested property, relayed to BLM.

3:54 p.m: Marine Accident. – Dearborn Island Rd.

9:27 p.m: Suspicious Conditions – 87300 blk, Cedar Flat Rd. A passerby was concerned a vehicle was parked in the area and had a note stating they were hiking, but it was getting dark. The hiker returned as the caller was on the phone.

Aug. 20: 8:10 a.m: Rescue Operation – South Sister. Search & Rescue responded to the Pacific Crest Trail after receiving an alert from a satellite emergency communication device. The hiker reported he had fallen and was unable to walk from a foot injury. SAR volunteers and Posse members headed into the remote wilderness area, reaching the hiker around 2 p.m. The hiker was initially carried on a wheeled stretcher, but was then able to ride out with Posse members when they arrived. The hiker was taken back to the trailhead and later cared for at an area hospital.

11:31 p.m: Motor Vehicle Accident, Injury – Camp Creek Rd.

12:24 p.m: Disturbance, Dispute – 92700 blk, Regal Ln. Verbal dispute, parties separated.

Aug. 21: 3:03 p.m: Motor Vehicle Accident, No Injury – Terwilliger Hot Springs.

3:47 p.m: Suspicious Subject – 38000 blk, McK. Hwy. Someone picked up subject in the area with apparent mental health issues.

5:43 p.m: Motor Vehicle Accident Fatal – 39100 blk, Upper Camp Creek Rd. Lane County Sheriff’s deputies responded with fire personnel to a single vehicle crash. The vehicle, a 2006 Suzuki SV650 motorcycle, left the roadway while negotiating a curve and struck a guardrail. The rider was the only person on the motorcycle and was killed in the crash. The deceased was identified as William Sean Yoder, 57, of Springfield.

Aug. 22: 3:13 a.m: Reckless Endangering – Marcola Rd. Deputies responded to a single vehicle crash. After investigating, the driver was cited for Reckless Driving and Reckless Endangering

10:00 a.m: Welfare Check – 38300 blk, Wendling Rd.

10:15 a.m: Animal Complaint – 92200 blk, Whitmore St.

11:06 a.m: Assist, Follow Up – Dearborn Island Rd.

12:40 p.m: Motor Vehicle Accident, Unknown Injury – Shotgun Creek Recreation Area.

12:50 p.m: Disturbance, Dispute – 42800 blk, McK. Hwy. Two vehicles were in an accident on the McK. Hwy. Involved were advised to exchange information.

2:00 p.m: Disturbance, Dispute – 44200 blk, McK. Hwy. Verbal dispute between neighbors, one of whom has dementia. Parties separated.

6:11 p.m: Reckless Driving – Parsons Creek Rd.

7:13 p.m: Assist Fire Department – 35200 blk, Camp Creek Rd.

9:30 p.m. Search & Rescue responded to an SOS activation on the Pacific Crest Trail near Lava Camp. SAR located the subject at about 3 a.m. The hiker had activated the device as a bear charged at him. He was uninjured, but grateful for the company on the morning hike out.

12:32 p.m: Theft – 89300 blk, Old Mohawk Rd. Community self report regarding stolen dogs.

5:50 p.m: Attempt To Locate Drunk Driver – McK. River Dr.

9:31 p.m: Suspicious Vehicle – Marcola Rd. A deputy investigated a vehicle that appeared suspicious. No further info.

10:37 p.m: Suspicious Conditions – 55400 blk, McK. River Dr. An area resident had a generator stolen.
