Eagle Rock Park update

NIMROD: Eagle Rock Park is getting a major upgrade, and visitors will notice the difference when it reopens later this fall.
Lane County Parks has begun construction on a new picnic shelter at the popular riverside park. The 16-by-24-foot pre-manufactured metal structure will include integrated seating and provide a shaded, accessible gathering spot for visitors.
The project also calls for new ADA-compliant parking and an accessible pathway, making the park easier to use for all community members. Crews are currently preparing the site and forming the concrete slab where the shelter will be installed.
The park is closed during construction and is expected to reopen in late October or early November. To celebrate the improvements, Lane County Parks plans to host a ribbon-cutting ceremony along with a volunteer event once the work is complete.
County officials say the upgrades are part of ongoing efforts to improve accessibility and amenities across Lane County’s park system.
