Storm left its mark

Predictions of an atmospheric river came true in the region over the weekend when several power and communication lines were knocked down in a storm that arrived with heavy downpours and strong winds. Close to 2&1/2 inches of rain was recorded at the Cougar Dam weather station while crews from the McKenzie and Upper McKenzie fire districts responded to a 1/2 dozen reports of downed lines.
