Trail Work
The McKenzie Community Track & Field is hosting a volunteer day on Three Sisters Meadow on Thursday, October 29th from 3 to 5 pm. Three Sisters Meadow (51503 Blue River Dr) is the old mill site in Blue River, donated to the community for its benefit after the fire.
Volunteers will be he helping to clear the route for the proposed multi-modal trail connecting the McKenzie School to downtown Blue River. Join us in working on the site and learning more about the potential trail and future of Three Sisters Meadow.
Tools will be provided. For more information and to register, visit mckenzieclt.org/events.
Trail Closed
US Forest Service crews will be working on the McKenzie River Trail, involving heavy rock removal, near Tamolitch Falls (Blue Pool). The project will necessitate an area closure from October 19 – October 23. The McKenzie River Trail and surrounding area will be closed for public safety from Tamolitch Falls (Blue Pool) trailhead to approximately a half mile upstream from the Tamolitch Falls (Blue Pool) overlook).
