McKenzie Valley Wellness seeks new members

Fees from forty years ago have been reinstated

BLUE RIVER: Non-profit McKenzie Valley Wellness (MVW) is looking for new members with what they're calling "The best deal in town." Anyone over 18 can join for $10 a year, the same price it was 40 years ago.

People who are already members don't need to do anything. Everyone who is a member by July 30th will be able to vote in the upcoming election of board members and any other agenda items at the annual membership meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, August 30th, at the Upper McKenzie Community Center. New ballots for the election will replace those that had been mailed before the May 3rd annual meeting was canceled.

MVW president Val Rapp says the board is currently working with PIVOT Architecture of Eugene, to plan a new health clinic and wellness building. The new clinic will be built on the same property in Blue River where it stood before being destroyed in the Holiday Farm Fire in 2020 - right across from the post office.

People who aren't sure about their current membership status or have other questions can email [email protected].

Membership forms are available on many local bulletin boards, or by email. Completed forms, along with a $10 membership fee, should be sent to MVW, PO Box 381, Blue River, OR 97413.
