Make the McKenzie Connection!
Ross Penhallegon will share his over 40 years of gardening experience and expertise at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Blue River on Saturday, May 4th, at 10 a.m. Everyone is welcome to attend this free event.
Penhallegon, who works for the OSU Extension Service, has taught gardening and farming to people locally as well as all over the world - including Central and South America, as well as Kyrgyzstan in 2007 - among a few places. His primary focus over the years has been urban and commercial horticulture - gardens and farms - growing fruits, vegetables and other useful plants.
In April of 2012 he taught a similar workshop for gardeners with a positive response from McKenzie River Valley residents. There were a number of requests that a clinic or workshop be repeated in 2013.
The clinic will begin at 10 a.m., conclude at 12 noon and will include an opportunity for questions and answers for gardening questions.
