9-Hour power outage
October 17, 2014
11:30 p.m. Saturday night, October 18, until approximately 8:30 a.m., Sunday morning, October 19
The Bonneville Power recently notified Lane Electric that in preparation for the winter season, they have scheduled a 9-hour power outage to work on their equipment in the Blue River Substation. As a result, Lane Electric members in the McKenzie River Valley will be without electric service while BPA crews complete their work. During this time, Lane Electric’s crews will take advantage of the downtime and upgrade some of our equipment in the station as well.
To assist in planning, some helpful information to help prepare for this extended outage is available at http://laneelectric.com/outages/.
Much of this work will be done during the middle of the night. However, there will be construction equipment and personnel in the area which could cause short delays in traffic flow.
Lane Electric will work with BPA to do everything we can to minimize any inconvenience this may cause you. Crews will work as quickly and safely as possible to complete this work in a timely fashion.
