Walterville's Corkey Gourley is Springfield’s First Citizen

Springfield community leaders and businesses were honored at Lane Community College Center for Meeting and Learning last Friday with over 250 people in attendance.
Walterville reesident Corkey Gourley, who operates a State Farm Insurance agency in the Mohawk District was named Springfield’s First Citizen of 2011. Gourley is a nationally recognized State Farm agent, an involved Mohawk Business Neighbor, past president of the Springfield Chamber of Commerce and current president of the Springfield Rotary Club. Since his arrival in 1995 he has been a community organizer and an elder in his church.
