  • Know when it's time to pick pears and apples

    Kym Pokorny, OSU Extension|Sep 21, 2023

Anticipation of ripe pears and apples peaks in fall as fruits hang heavily from branches and begin their gravity-aided trip to the ground. But how do you know when it’s prime picking time? I dated a woman I work with for four years. In both our minds we were soul mates. A year and a half ago she broke it off. I never found out the real reasons. After we broke up she would still tell me she loved me and we were soul mates. Of course, at the same time, she was dating another man, a married man. But it's worse than that. In college this guy stalked her--her words, not mine. Now, of course, she'll claim he was "just observing me." She is still dating him. He is still married. He...

Laura Lowry's Sollevare wine cooler doesn't work, and neither does the replacement. Who does she talk to about a refund? Last year, I bought a Sollevare wine cooler from Lowe's that was supposed to have a reversible door. It was one of the main reasons I bought this particular unit. The cooler I received had no means of reversing the door. We finally got a hold of customer service at Sollevare, who then shipped us out the correct door. Within three months of the purchase, the unit started...
